During her year of service for the scholarship program, she appeared at nearly 100 elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Iowa to talk with students about fostering the arts in our communities. She typically addressed an all-school assembly where she sang, played the violin, spoke, and stressed the importance of believing in oneself. Lisa Dondlinger’s musical skills, both in voice and violin, have allowed her to perform all over the world, including Israel, France, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Spain, and Canada. She also has performed extensively in the United States and participated in well-known music festivals such as the National Repertory Orchestra and the National Orchestra Institute. Ms. Dondlinger performs regularly with the Santa Barbara Symphony, the New West Symphony, and the Mladi Chamber Orchestra. Currently Lisa is pursuing a musical career as a pop-country vocalist and is teaching voice in Los Angeles. Her debut CD is in production in Nashville and is scheduled for release in 2003.
